This Contemporary Christian Performing
Group is based in Norwalk, CT. Founded in March of 1992, the group
consists of the following members:
A Better Way can best be described as "Gumbo", which combines musical styles of Traditional, Contemporary, Funk, Jazz and Quartet Gospel. When they formed this group, the members wanted to place its emphasis on ministry, letting everyone know that Jesus is "A Better Way". A Better Way has opened for and /or played with Gospel artists such as, John P. Kee, Mary Mary, Hezekiah Walker, The Winans, Shirley Caesar, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Candi Staton, Edwin Hawkins and The Williams Brothers. They have also opened for Jazz artists such as: Dave Valentin, Chuck Loeb, Marion Meadows, and Pieces of a Dream, to name a few. The group has played such venues as: The New Haven Coliseum, The Rich Forum and Palace Theatres in Stamford, CT, The Jacob Javits Center and the Beacon Theatre in New York Center, The Arthur Ashe Tennis Center in Richmond, VA, and The Texaco Corporation in Westchester, NY. The have shared the bill with luminaries such as the Honorable David Dinkins, and Motivational speaker Les Brown. A Better Way has played colleges such as: State University at Brockport, NY, Southern Connecticut State University, University of Massachusetts at Lowell, and Norwalk Community College. They have also performed at concerts and festivals up and down the East Coast. We truly hope to be an inspiration to
